Our Story
Born on a Brooklyn
Summer Street
Dolly started making ices in her kitchen in 1985 — not as a business, but as a way to keep her neighborhood cool during the sweltering July heat. Her recipe came from her Nonna in Sicily, a woman who believed that ice cream should taste like the fruit it came from.
Word spread fast. Neighbors drove from Staten Island and Queens just for a cup of her strawberry. By the time we opened our shop on Avenue T, there was already a line around the block.
Today, we still make every batch by hand, right here in Brooklyn. We source local fruit when it's in season, import Sicilian pistachios the old way, and never once compromise on what makes an ice truly an ice — crystalline, intense, and unforgettable.
